Access Statement

Wheelchairs

While manual and electric wheelchairs are welcome inside the Studios, we can only book one wheelchair or mobility device on each tour due to health and safety, and evacuation considerations.

The majority of the studios are suitable for wheelchairs but some areas can be difficult to navigate, due to narrow corridors and enclosed spaces, therefore it would be possible for us to modify the tour route to accommodate your requirements. 

There is also one small section of the tour which sadly cannot be accessed by wheelchairs or mobility devices. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and find out more.

To book an accessibility ticket, please check the booking system for the date and time you wish to attend. If the Wheelchair ticket is not visible for the time and date you are looking at, please check alternative timed tours for further availability.

A free assistant ticket will be provided with each accessible ticket, this will be unlocked when the accessible ticket is selected in the booking system. The assistant is responsible for helping you around the tour, and assisting with an evacuation in the unlikely event of an emergency.

*For health and safety reasons, we cannot allow mobility vehicles or electric scooters wider than 80cm/800mm to enter the studios without prior discussion 

Carers and Concessionary rate

Those who are registered as disabled or as a carer are entitled to purchase tickets at the Concessionary rate though proof of entitlement will be required on entry to the Studios Tour. We currently accept the following:

  • Letter/notice of entitlement for Disability Living Allowance or PIP
  • Letter from your doctor
  • Blue parking badge or Freedom Pass
  • DID card or Access card
 

British Sign Language (BSL) Tours

In order to assist our visitors who are deaf or hard of hearing, BSL tours will be made available at various points throughout the year. If you require an interpreter outside of these tours, please contact us to discuss.

The interpreter will remain onsite for the duration of your visit and will meet you in the entrance foyer.

To book a BSL tour, please contact us prior to purchasing tickets, letting us know how many are in your group, and any specific needs you may have.

Audio Descriptive Tours

To assist visitors with a visual impairment, we can provide touch tours or modified tours with our trained guide providing a more detailed description of all areas of the tours.

These tours may vary slightly due to allowing more time to enjoy all aspects of the tour, and therefore need to be booked with at least 14 days notice by contacting us here.

Assistance Dogs

We welcome all fully trained assistance dogs into the Studio Tour. Due to the nature of the Studio Tour, we are unable to accommodate assistance dogs in training.

If your dog requires a water bowl, please ask a member of staff who will be happy to provide one. We do not allow other dogs or pets to enter the Studios.

Subtitles

Please note, subtitles are not present on media throughout the tour. However, we can provide assistance to those who are hard of hearing. Please let a member of the team know on arrival at the tour.

Parking

The nearest dedicated disabled parking can be found at Westfield Shopping Centre:

Over 5 percent of parking bays at Westfield London are dedicated to disabled parking and they offer Blue Badge holders 4 hours free parking Monday – Friday inclusive.

To qualify, simply present your Blue Badge and parking ticket to the Shopmobility desk located on Level -2, Lift Lobby 2 (Middle Car Park). The parking ticket will then be validated but Blue Badge holders must be present and any additional parking charges must be made at the nearest parking payment machine.

Important: Tickets can only be validated at the Shopmobility desk and during normal opening hours. Parking charges outside of these hours will incur the normal parking charge.

There is a vehicle height restriction of 2.1m, if you require parking for a vehicle higher than this please email ukmerchandising@westfield.com (please note this is subject to bay availability).

Toilets

Our toilet facilities and accessible toilets are located at the start of the tour. Should you or your guests require the facilities during the tour itself, please notify your guide who will arrange assistance to guide you out of the studios at the time of purchase
